Learning Module 4.
Aerial Photography & Photogrammetry
Introduction
Aerial photography is one the earliest forms of remote sensing and is still one of the most widely used and cost effective methods of remote sensing. Aerial photos can be collected via airplane, helicopters, ballons, kites or UAVs.
Learning Outcomes

- Understand distortions/displacement and orthopohtos
- Elements of photo interpretation
- Understand scale, how to calculate and apply
- Use photogrammetic techniques to calculate: distance, area and object height from aerial photographs
