Learning Module: UAS and more, the Future of Remote Sensing

Introduction

In this module will will discuss some of the emerging trends in remote sensing. This includes advances in sensors and remote sensing platforms. One of the biggest developments in remote sensing in recent years has been the rapid increase in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). As with other technology UAS have dropped dramatically in price making the technology widely available. There has a also been an emergence of alternative and do-it-yourself technologies that are be applied to remote sensing.
