The grestest challenge for most managers is how to manage people.  Each person brings unique knowledge and skills to an organziation.  This is great!  However, each person also has unique desires, needs, and issues they are working on.  As a manager, it is not your role to make your people happy but it is your role to see that they have an envrionment that gives them job satisfaction.  This also helps your organization achieve its goals.
