LiDAR Lab
Introduction
LiDAR is one of the latest datasets that are available and are key to improving a variety of analysis and modeling tasks. LiDAR data is collected as points and needs to be converted to rasters for most GIS operations.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this lab, you should be able to:
- Describe the various remotely senesed methods and sensors
- Describe the type of information that remotely sensed data can provide and its limitations
- Describe the elements of the electromagnetic spectrum
- Describe the process used from collection through delivery for remotely sensed data
- Create an "Index Raster" from an original remotely sensed image
