Calling BlueSpray

1. Introduction

BlueSpray is a GIS application written by Jim Graham. BlueSpray does not contain as many analysis features as ArcGIS or QGIS but it is very fast and easy to script for many GIS tasks and has some features that are available no where else.

The key to BlueSpray's seed is that it does not save files unless you tell it to. It does all it's processing in RAM which can be many times faster than saving a file on each processing step. This also keeps your hard disk from being cluttered up with hundreds of files.

2. Installing

Run ez_setup.py from: https://pypi.python.org/pypi/setuptools#installation-instructions
Then “easy_install.exe” is availble in c:/PythonXX/Scripts
Run easy_install py4j
