About the Arcata Veterans Group

Who We Are

Download Brochure

The Arcata Veterans Group is a cohort of veterans and their "dependents", consisting of members from the American Legion, the American Legion Auxiliary, the VFW, Am Vets and our Auxiliary. Our goals are to aid veterans with their transition back into civilian life. To unite the various veterans organizations under one roof and work together as a single unit to provide veterans and their families a home away from home. Our hope is to connect veterans and the community through public outreach and active promotion of American values defined by our diverse country. Through our actions we wish to integrate veterans and the community through public outreach, education, and mentorship programs.

What We Do

Through our members and groups we host and participate in community events, fundraising and community outreach. As membership grows we will continue to seek out programs that will help to sustain and bring together the Arcata Community. Current and pending projects include:  revitalization of the hall, the annual harvest feast, local park and river clean ups, hikes, camping trips, sponsorship events and so much more.
