Working With Painters

Painters render spatial data to the screen so that you can see and edit it. There are a variety of painters available for each type of layer.

Adding Painters

If you right click on a layer you'll see "New Painter". Drag to this menu item and you'll see the types of painters available for this layer. Selecting the painter will either immediately add the painter to the layer (if it is relatively simple) or will open a dialog box for you to select the settings to use with the painter.
